Kaipara Refuse is excited to be partnering with the Kaipara District Council and Phoenix Recycling Group to make it easier to recycle your household batteries safely. You can now drop off your used household batteries FREE at the Dargaville Resource Recovery Park (199 Awakino Road Dargaville) and at the Hakaru Re:sort Centre (636 Kaiwaka - Mangawhai Road).
Why recycle your batteries? Improperly disposed batteries can cause serious fires in rubbish and recycling trucks. In fact, we've experienced three battery fires in our trucks over the past six months. By recycling your batteries correctly, you're helping protect our staff, equipment and the community.
